No dia 02 de agosto estavamos na cidade de Nova Friburgo e, apesar do frio intenso que fazia, acordei bem cedo para sair em busca dos seres alados que habitam a região do pico caledônia. Passamos pelo restaurante zero grau e quando a subida se tornou mais acentuada, engatei a tração nas quatro rodas e deixei que o giro do motor em primeira marcha nos levasse vagarosamente adiante. Em determinado ponto, depois de ingreme subida, uma acentuada curva à esquerda nos leva em direção ao pico ou, seguindo em linha reta, uma placa sinaliza o caminho para São Lourenço. Foi nesse ponto que um assobio inconfundível me levou a estacionar a pickup logo depois da curva. Coloquei o playback e a resposta veio em seguida, embora seu emissor não tenha dado as caras por todo o tempo que ali permanecemos. Antes de seguir, fotografei estes pequenos pássaros e, mais adiante, próximo ao pico, em seu posto de observação, este inabalável carcará.
Na descida tornei a escutar o mesmo assobio que me fizera parar. Retornarei este assunto no próximo post. Click!!!
On August 2nd we were in the city of Nova Friburgo and despite the intense cold it was, I woke up early to go out in search of winged beings that inhabit the peak of the Caledonia region. We passed the zero degree restaurant and when the climb became steeper, hitched to four-wheel drive and let the motor spin in first gear slowly take us forward. At one point, after a steep rise, a sharp left turn takes us toward the peak or, following straight, a sign indicates the way to San Lorenzo. It was at this point that an unmistakable whistle led me to park the pickup immediately after the curve. I put the playback and the answer came next, though its issuer did not give the guys all the time that there remain. Before then photographed these small birds and, later, near the peak in his observation post, this unwavering caracara.
On the way down I again heard the same whistle that made me stop. I return this in the next post. Click !!!
