Alguns posts atrás publiquei foto deste pássaro. Sigo a cronologia dos eventos e, por este motivo, torno frequentemente a publicar fotos da mesma espécie. Não importa. A espécie é a mesma, mas o cenário é bem outro. Alem do mais, não é impossível, nem improvável, que a publicação de fotos dessas maravilhas aladas ajude a construir uma consciência ecologica mais consistente em cada um de nós. Os dados dão conta de que 80% dos desmatamentos no Brasil ocorrem para dar lugar à pecuária. O que podemos fazer para frear essa fome de destruição? Precisamos, antes de qualquer coisa, "pensar". Pensar provoca imensa dor, é verdade. Entretanto, pensar é fundamental. Diminuir o consumo de carne bovina, por exemplo, pode gerar a diminuição do desmatamento. Quem desmata para plantar gado tem por objetivo o lucro decorrente do consumo, quer aqui, quer em outras plagas. Por outro lado, um baixo consumo tende a comprometer o objetivo final: o lucro, revertendo a tendência de desmatamento. Somos 200 milhões! Temos muito mais poder do que imaginamos. Basta

Some posts ago I published photo of this bird. I follow the chronology of events and, therefore, often around to publish photos of the same species. Does not matter. The species is the same, but the setting is quite another. Besides, it is not impossible or unlikely, that the photo publication of these winged wonders help build a more consistent ecological consciousness in each of us. Data realize that 80% of deforestation in Brazil are to make way for cattle. What can we do to stop this hunger for destruction? I must, before anything, "think". Thinking causes immense pain, it is true. However, thinking is fundamental. Reduce consumption of beef, for example, can lead to the reduction of deforestation. Those who deforest to plant cattle aims to profit from consumption, both here and in other quarters. On the other hand, a low consumption tends to compromise the ultimate goal: profit, reversing the deforestation trend. We are 200 million! We have much more power than we think. Just think and act.
