Era meio dia da segunda-feira, 15 de agosto, quando adentramos o portal da Reserva Natural Vale. Nosso amigo e guia, o Justiniano Magnago, que é um dos grandes conhecedores da região, nos aguardava na recepção do hotel. Foi o tempo de nos instalarmos no chalé, almoçarmos e partirmos para nossa primeira aventura mata adentro. Apesar daquela imensidão de mata atlânticca, os efeitos da estiagem eram notáveis. Fomos direto ao ponto onde o Justiniano encontrava a mãe da lua gigante com frequência. Ele já havia me dado a dica do local fazia mais de um ano, mas nunca consegui localizar o pássaro. Ao chegarmos ao local, constatei que, de fato, é preciso ter olhos de águia para localizar o pássaro, apesar de seu porte. Isto o Justiniano tem de sobra. Parou o carro e, depois de dez minutos caminhado, descobriu o bicho pousado. Ventava muito, o que é um entrave à observação de pássaros e, mais ainda ao ato de fotografá-los. Um guia experiente faz a diferença. Clique!!!
