Choca da Mata (Thamnophilus caerulescens) - Variable Antshrike - Parque Nacional do Itatiaia-RJ - 01/09/2014

Tempos atrás, em Itatiaia, eu levei uma verdadeira surra tentando fotografar um desses. Irrequieto, pulava de galho em galho, sem parar. Neste dia fui mais feliz. O lugar era outro e, o pássaro, infinitamente menos agitado. Estas foram as melhores fotos que fiz até hoje desta espécie. O local da foto foi o mesmo do João Teneném, Bico de Veludo e João Botina da Mata. Acho que dei a dica de como chegar ao local em um outro post. Para obter as coordenadas precisas, tenho que voltar ao local com o meu GPS.

Long ago, in Itatiaia, I took a real beating trying to photograph one of these. Restless, leaping from branch to branch without stopping. On this day I was happier. The place was another, and the bird, infinitely less hectic. These were the best photos I've ever done this kind. The location of the photo was the same as Spix's Spinetail, Cinnamon Tanager and Orange-eyed Thornbird. I think I gave the hint of how to get there in another post. To obtain the precise coordinates, have to go back to the place with my GPS.
