Quando vou até Nova Friburgo para resolver questões que não envolvem a fotografia de pássaros, pode até ocorrer e, geralmente acontece,  que uma incursão rápida na mata possa resultar em algumas boas fotos ou, até mesmo, em encontros com espécies ainda não avistadas. Entretanto, não há como negar que expedições fotográficas estejam em outro clima, outra vibração. No dia 23 de março juntei-me ao amigo João Sergio e fomos fazer uma incursão na mata da região de Macaé de cima. A primeira parada foi na barraca do Russo, que esteve desativada por longo período e, agora, parece ter voltado a funcionar. Ela fica na localidade conhecida como pedra branca, mais próxima de Cachoeiras de Macacú. Particularmente, tenho críticas ao rúsitco comedouro que ali foi instalado, uma vez que fica junto à estrada de rodagem, o que coloca em risco a saúde dos pássaros(que ficam a inalar os gases que saem do escapamento de pesados caminhões que por ali trafegam e, também, a segurança dos fotografos, que têm de parar seus carros em exíguo espaço, restando-lhes praticamente ficar em cima da faixa amarela que delimita a faixa de rodagem, o que aumenta sensivelmente o risco, pelo fato de estar localizada em uma curva bem acentuada.

Pretendo sugerir ao dono que transfira o comedouro para a área interna de seu terreno e passe a cobrar dos interessados, a título de manutenção e melhoria do comedouro, um valor que julgue condizente.
