Não há registro no município de Nova Friburgo deste pássaro. Sempre o tenho encontrado a meio caminho entre Cachoeiras de Macacú e Nova Friburgo. As coordenadas do local dão conta de que pertence ao município de Cachoeiras de Macacú. Se em algum post anterior fiz menção à Nova Friburgo, considerem corrigido. Este é um pássaro magnificamente ornado. Um bálsamo para os olhos. Clique!!!!

There is no record in the municipality of Nova Friburgo of this bird. I have always found it halfway between Cachoeiras de Macacú and Nova Friburgo. The coordinates of the place indicate that it belongs to the municipality of Cachoeiras de Macacú. If in any previous post I mentioned Nova Friburgo, consider corrected. This is a magnificently ornate bird. A balm for the eyes. Click!!!!

As cores são extravagantes e o desenho originalíssimo! É um pássaro de rara beleza e, ao menos por onde ando, de difícil avistamento. Este foi meu terceiro encontro com a espécie, todas na estrada que liga o hotel Garlipp a lugar denominado Macaé de cima. Como das vezes anteriores, o encontro foi totalmente inesperado, o que é sempre melhor. Desta vez a aproximação foi bem mais amigável e aproveitei a oportunidade. Clique!!!

The colors are extravagant and the original design! It is a bird of rare beauty and, at least where I walk, difficult to spot. This was my third encounter with the species, all on the road linking the Garlipp hotel to the place called Macaé de cima. As of previous times, the meeting was totally unexpected, which is always better. This time the approach was much more friendly and I took the opportunity. Click!!!

Encontrei este casal exatamente nas mesmas coordenadas onde estavam na primavera do ano passado. Acho que têm preferência pelo local quando chega a época do acasalamento. Clique!!!

Um passeio despretencioso entre o restaurante e pousada zero grau e a subida para o pico do caledônia resultou em alguns avistamentos. Este foi um deles. Clique!!!
